5 out of 5 stars Wii Play   April 2, 2007

This is possibly the best purchase I have made online ever. The game comes with an extra Wii Remote, and is totally fun. It is more mini games you can play alone or with up to four people - things like billiards, lazer hockey, cow racing, and a shooting game similar to duck hunt. Since I couldn't find any Wii Remotes or Wii Play games for sale anywhere in my area I was thrilled to be able to order it on amazon for such a great price.

5 out of 5 stars Entertaining game   June 10, 2007

I feel competitive when I play video games. I like this game because it makes you go back and try to improve with each try. If you like beating your high score with shooting, pool, fishing, and table tennis, then it's a lot of fun. It's not something to play on the Wii every time, but it's great to always have to go back to. There is never an end to this game and I like that. I find myself getting bored with Wii Sports after awhile because the games are usually a stalemate after you reach 2000 points. Wii Play doesn't have anything like that.
The extra Wii remote is a bonus as well.
Only complaint: the pose game is really dumb. It's much better off without it all together.

The games are fun and basically teach you different ways you can use the remote. I like pool/billiards the best. Comes with a controller too.

5 out of 5 stars Fun games for a new Wii family   February 16, 2008

We just got a Wii a few days ago and wanted to get some more games beyond Wii Sports (which is fun, but we needed some variety). Our main objective was to get some games that our 5-year-old could also play instead of just watching while the adults play. I got some input from some online friends and from the reviews here, and thought that Wii Play might work. Getting a 2nd remote was already a priority, so why not get some games with it?

The games are probably not what serious gamers would prefer, but our family isn't full of serious gamers - we just want to play some simple games and have fun. Wii Play fits the bill - fun for the adults, simple enough for the 5-year-old. Her favorites are Fishing and Charge, and after only a few times playing, she's gotten pretty good at them.

All in all, Wii Play is a good option for Wii owners who have younger kids who also want to play.

5 out of 5 stars Bought for the controller, never expected the great games   March 24, 2007

I purchased Wii Play so I'd get an extra controller and enable my girlfriend to hook up to the Wii. I (We) never expected the games included to be so cool. We play tanks for hours at a time. Buy it and you'll see why.
